GARDEN GROVE, CA – Last week the LA Times announced its endorsement of Lt. Commander Jay Chen for Congress in California’s 45th Congressional District.

The LA Times emphasizes in their endorsement that Jay Chen is “a longtime community leader” and is “thoughtful, collaborative and mission-driven.” Additionally, the L.A. Times  applauds his ability to connect with Orange County families where they are because of his “in-the-trenches approach to public service and his ability to work alongside people of different ideologies.” Congress needs members who are willing to put grandstanding to the side to make positive change, and Jay Chen has made it clear that he is invested in doing just that on behalf of all Orange County constituents, not just the wealthy few.

“I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of the LA Times,” said Lt. Commander Jay Chen (res.). “This endorsement recognizes what I hear on the ground every day – voters are desperately seeking a change. Michelle Steel is not looking out for the interests of everyday working families. When I am in Congress I will cut through the partisanship to bring opportunity and investments back to Orange County.
